Message: I have been a member for a while now. Pretty good gym however they need to get some air flow in the locker rooms ASAP. Stinking up the place. Close your eyes and it’s easy to imagine yourself in an outhouse that has been heavily used on a Wednesday morning after taco Tuesday. Most of the staff is friendly but no amount of smiles can cover up that smell. They must be used to the smell by now. Also there has been this one booger on the wall that I see every day. Not sure how long it was there before I joined but we will see how long it will last. Probably quite a while. I’m telling you this booger has stamina!

Message: This gym was perfect. I was in the area visiting and they were nice enough to give me a pass for the week. The gym has everything I would want in a fitness center and the people where great.

Message: The Alaska Club in general state wide is excellent. I work and play in anchorage and the valley and have been to all the clubs. I prefer the Eagle River Club over all the other clubs. The staff are more professional and motivating in the manner of interaction. I have observed the manager setting the standard keeping the gym clean, organized and pleasant to work out in. The equipment 97. 5% of the time is in good shape. I say that because I have only seen one treadmill down. However all the weight lifting machines are in good shape provide a smooth action.. The members are friendlier and have great gym etiquette. There is not a bunch of attention seeking activity. Most members stay focused and respect other patrons. Again, I think this falls back to the the manager and the way the culture is developed among staff and members.. Great instructors at this club, I have participated in aqua aerobics "bot camp", yoga, and spinning. All these classes have excellent instructors that provide motivation and helpful tips if just beginning. When I started doing the classes I was welcomed and engaged and did not feel like maybe I was in the wrong place. Genuinely the instructors, staff, and other members are supportive in health and fitness.. My 11 yr old loves going to the gym here. If he isn't feeling like a work out there is other activities that he can enjoy or relax while catching up on homework. This gym, the staff, layout, and other members have made this place apart of our daily routine. A must have in Alaska to stay ready and fit through the year.

Message: Definitely one of the better Alaska Clubs that I go to. Honestly I am most disappointed in how the company treats their employees and don’t pay a good enough wage. For as much as I’m paying I wish they took care of their people better.

Message: I’ve been coming to Eagle River Alaska club and other Alaska clubs for a year and I’ve been very impressed with them. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They do a great job at having equipment for a full body workout. I also attended a few classes and those were great as well; overall I give them five stars and it's been the best Gym membership experience I’ve had yet.

Message: I never come here completely willingly and I always leave tired.. and that is the sign of a great gym. Everyone is really friendly, there are a variety of classes offered for all fitness interests and levels, and the facility is clean and bright. People join just for the sauna, whirlpool and spa services. This location now offers 24 hour access as well. They have a great swimming program for kids and adults and they offer a fun indoor playground spot for supervised childcare and an area for older kids to play as well. They always keep their store stocked with a varied selection of athletic clothing and healthy snack options as well. My trainer, Katie, she is amazing and you would be lucky to get on her schedule. I’ve taken Power Class with Kristi and she is an extremely motivational instructor. She teaches Aqua Class too and I’d recommend anything she is leading. All the staff members seem knowledgeable and dedicated, I highly suggest their training program!
